Terms of Service

Last updated July 18, 2026

These are the terms for using birthdaypage.app. We've tried to write them the way we'd actually explain them to a friend — short sections, no legalese walls.

What Birthdaypage.app is

Birthdaypage.app lets you build and send a digital, interactive birthday card — a message, photos, a voice recording, GIFs, and effects — as a shareable link. The person you send it to doesn't need an account to open it.

Your content, your responsibility

You're responsible for what you put in a card. Keep it lawful, non-hateful, and free of anything that infringes someone else's rights. If content breaks this, we can remove it and restrict access to it.

Payments

Birthday Boost is a one-time purchase that unlocks premium effects on a single card.

Birthday Club is a subscription — $4.99/month or $29.99/year — that renews automatically. Cancel anytime from the self-service billing portal in your account; when you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Refunds

New Birthday Club subscriptions come with a 14-day, no-questions money-back guarantee. Email torstein@vikse.dev within 14 days of joining and we'll refund it.

For a one-time Boost purchase on a card that's already been delivered, refunds are at our discretion — just ask and we'll sort it out.

Fair use

Birthday Club's unlimited premium cards are for normal personal use — sending cards to people in your life. If you're sending more than about 30 premium cards a month, that's outside normal personal use — talk to us before we have to throttle anything.

About the “coming soon” perks

Reminders, drafts, and contact imports are being built and will be added to every membership at no extra cost once they ship. If we ever discontinue a core perk you're paying for, active subscribers can cancel and get a pro-rata refund for the remaining period.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months. This doesn't affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you're a consumer, you keep whatever mandatory protections your local laws give you regardless.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change, we'll announce it on the site and, for subscribers, by email.
