Patterns that work
- For Best friend
Best friend, all-in
Two GIFs (their favourite show + a celebration meme), a long sentimental message, a $25 Amazon gift card hidden inside.
- For Coworker
Coworker, work-appropriate
Restrained: one tasteful cake GIF, a short warm message, no embedded gift. Works as a Slack-shareable link.
- For Mom
Mom, sentimental
An old family photo upload, two GIFs (one nostalgic, one funny), a multi-paragraph message, no gift link.
- For Partner
Boyfriend / girlfriend
Inside-joke GIF, a personal message that wouldn't make sense to anyone else, a gift card to their favourite restaurant.
- For Anyone whose birthday is right now
Last-minute panic
One generic-but-good GIF, a short genuine message, sent via SMS. Built in 45 seconds.
- For Friend who'd find a sincere card embarrassing
Funny, irreverent
Three absurd GIFs, a deliberately ridiculous message, an emoji-confetti burst when they open it.
Common questions
Are these real cards I can open?+
The /demo card is a real, fully populated example you can open right now. The other six are descriptions of common patterns, the kind of thing people typically build. Real screenshots will land in a future update.
Can I use one of these as a template?+
Not as a saved template today, but you can copy the recipe. 'Two GIFs + short message + gift card link' is a solid pattern for almost any recipient.
How long does building one of these take?+
About 60 seconds for the simple ones, 3–5 minutes for the sentimental ones with longer messages and a photo upload.
Can I edit a card after I send it?+
Yes. Log in with the email you used to send it, find the card under 'My cards', and edit. The link stays the same.
